Here is a brief history of Microsoft Viva:
February 2021 - Microsoft announces Microsoft Viva as a new platform aimed at enhancing employee engagement, well-being, learning, and knowledge discovery. Viva comprises four modules: Viva Connections, Viva Insights, Viva Learning, and Viva Topics.
March 2021 - Microsoft launches Viva Connections, the first module of Viva, designed to provide a personalized gateway to company resources, news, and conversations in Microsoft Teams.
May 2021 - Microsoft releases Viva Insights, a data-driven module that provides personalized recommendations and insights aimed at enhancing employee well-being, productivity, and engagement.
June 2021 - Microsoft launches Viva Learning, an integration platform designed to centralize learning content from various sources, such as LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Learn, and third-party providers.
September 2021 - Microsoft announces the release of Viva Topics, a module that uses AI to automatically organize company information and knowledge into topic pages that employees can access and contribute to.
July 2022 - Viva Engage gets announced, and a new and improved enterprise social solution joins the Microsoft family of solutions.
September 2022 - A few months later, Viva Pulse, Viva Amplify, and People in Viva were announced.

Since then, the release of the new suite of solutions, there have also been numerous improvements and updates announced along the way. Everyone is waiting to find out, "Will we see more Copilot in Microsoft Viva this Summit? If you haven't heard about Copilot, it is an AI-powered tool that helps programmers write code more efficiently by providing suggestions and auto-complete features.
While Copilot announcements have yet to make their way across all of Viva like it has M365, Microsoft announced the release of Viva Engage Copilot on March 15, 2023. This new feature uses AI to provide personalized recommendations and summaries on posts and Q&A in Viva Enage, to name a few features, to managers and employees.
